I can't believe it...

I am so thankful...I got a call from the nurse today. Tara had had bloodwork done per NIH study earlier this week. We had to do bloodwork 1 week after we got back from Washington DC and then one month (I know it was a little over a month). Anyways....all of Tara's bloodwork came back NORMAL! The drug she is on is working! Her SED rate, iron levels, and inflammation is all in the normal range. I am so excited to hear that news....because her levels have either been too high or too low since she has been born...it only took 2 years to figure all this out, but I am thankful!

Going in the right direction....

Well I'm officially 1 cm dialated. The doctor feels like I will be having this baby early...even before Valentines Day. Yikes...almost my whole family will be in Mexico. What timing! We'll have to wait and see...I'm excited, but I also remember that this will be my last baby so I'm trying to cherish every kick and roll that she's doing right now.

Tubes and more tubes

Well we went back to the ENT with Tara after getting yet another ear infection. We scheduled for her to get tubes in her ears on February 9. While we were there Brooke wanted him to look in her ears. Of course she had fluid in both her ears and he said it looks likes its been there for awhile, plus she just had another ear injection when Tara did. So...Brooke will be getting another set of tubes put in her ears on February 9 as well. Brooke may also be getting her adnoids out. He won't know until she is gassed up and he looks at them with a scope.

I remember when Brooke got her first set of tubes, the surgery is fast...However....I remember also when she came out of the surgery room and was starting to wake up and she was so inconsolable for at least 10-15 minutes...it was the longest 10-15 minutes in my life. I'm hoping this time will go better especially having them both done in one day. Yikes...all I can do is pray that everything will go okay and that I won't have my baby the same day!

Ultrasound went good....

I had an ultrasound yesterday due to my placenta being very low (by the cervix). At first I didn't understand it at all but what this means is that my placenta could have covered the opening where the baby comes out which would be a huge risk for the baby (so I would have had an c-section). Anyways...I had an ultrasound yesterday and the baby's head is lower than the placenta which is good. The placenta had moved up a little and the baby's head is now down by the cervix...just as it should. Yea! There is always a chance that I will have to have a c-section, but at least so far its looking good. The ultrasound tech said it looks like I've really dropped since my last ultrasound. I'm getting so excited...its so fun to see our little girl.

The tech gave Brooke and Tara a picture of their little sister and they thought that was way cool. Tara just kept on saying "baby, baby".

Some may think that its hard to see a baby on the ultrasound, but I've predicted with each ultrasound that the girls were going to look like Steve and I have been right so far (even though Brooke is starting to take over some of my features). This baby also looks like Steve (at least its my prediction)...we'll have to wait and see (about 4-5 more weeks)!

Getting ready for baby Sweet...

I haven't posted lately because I have been so busy getting ready for the baby. This time off work has been working out well (besides the shortage of money). I have been nesting....go thru every room of my house and creating a garage sale pile and a garbage pile. My next project is doing lots of laundry...all the baby clothes and putting it away in her room, which is now ready thanks to Steve and his dad rearranging closets (they put another shelving system in Tara's room so we could put Brooke's clothes in there as well).

I can't believe it's about a month away to meet our little girl face-to-face. I'm ready...but not at the same time. I think my back is really ready!

This Wednesday I will be having another ultrasound to see where my placenta is lying. If it is too low I will be scheduling a c-section. I'm not sure if the tech will tell me on Wednesday or if I will have to wait til next Wednesday during my doctors appointment to get the results. Hoping for a regular birth....but will do anything to get her here safely.

I'll keep in touch between laundry loads and playing with my girls =)
